GentleBalm

A lip balm thoughtfully formulated for sensitive skin.

A soft, cushioning balm meant for everyday use — on waking, before the wind, at the end of a long day. A deliberately small, carefully selected formula built for low irritation: unscented, untinted, and free from added fragrance, essential oils and colour.

Made for sensitive skin

Every decision starts with the same question: is this kind to skin that reacts easily? Nothing goes in unless the answer is yes.

Short by design

The formula is kept small on purpose. Many balms add lots of extras; we keep the list short so your skin has less to deal with.

Carefully selected

Each component is chosen for a low-irritation profile and reviewed against sensitive-skin considerations. Unscented, untinted and free from added fragrance, essential oils and colour follows naturally from that.

Tested before it ships

GentleBalm stays in development until stability and tolerance work is complete. We would rather be late than early.

Mitis Skincare makes cosmetic products. We describe how we formulate — not what a product will do for any particular person — and we don't make medical or treatment claims.

Our story

Mitis means gentle.

"I've lived with eczema and sensitive skin for as long as I can remember, and lip products were always the hardest to use. So many of them were packed with extra ingredients that sounded calming but left my skin feeling worse."

GentleBalm is still in development, and pre-orders are open by email. We'd rather tell you plainly where things stand than promise a date we can't keep — which is why we say January 2027, and mean it as an expectation, not a guarantee.

Can I buy GentleBalm today?+

GentleBalm is still in development, so pre-orders work by email: add it to your bag and join the launch list, and we'll write to you as soon as it's ready to ship. No payment is taken and no order is created at this stage.

When will it be available?+

We're expecting January 2027. Formulation, stability and tolerance work come first, and we'll email the launch list as soon as we have something firm to share.

Why isn't the ingredient list published yet?+

The formula is still being finalised. Publishing a list now would risk being inaccurate, so the full list will be shared before launch rather than in advance.

What does 'made for sensitive skin' mean here?+

It describes how we make decisions: no fragrance, no colour, a short formula, and components chosen with low-reactivity considerations in mind. It is not a promise about how any individual's skin will respond.

Is this a treatment for a skin condition?+

No. Mitis Skincare makes cosmetic products. Nothing here is medical advice or a treatment claim. If you have a skin concern, please speak to a qualified healthcare professional.

What happens to my email address?+

It's stored so we can tell you when GentleBalm launches. We don't sell it, and you can ask us to remove it at any time by emailing us.
